We (Jason and Sarah) first found the Isle of Skye on a whim. One cold November we randomly booked a cottage by the ocean and had our first weekend away together to the west coast of Skye. We were bombarded with the typical mixture of weather; lashing horizontal rain, howling gales, moody seas, clear skies and a million shooting stars. It was perfect.

Several years later, and married with two young kids, we built Wood h. Not long after, we took a leap of faith by relocating to Skye, with the aim of establishing our own business and working for ourselves.
It was meant to be. We found the croft in Harlosh where we now live. The views are just incredible and we knew it was the perfect place to build Black h.
We love our island life and the opportunity it has given us to create a small family business, something to call our own. The best part of creating harlosh.co is sharing with likeminded folk our interest in architecture, design and this incredible landscape.
